Cousin Lucas

This morning Jolanda came over for some coffee and brought along our lovely, little Lucas. Evie was a little shy at first, and didn't want to share her toys, but eventually warmed up to them.

Sandbox

This weekend Evie received an early birthday present from Oma Els and Opa Erno - a sandbox in the shape of a turtle!!! Evie had a blast playing Saturday, but unfortunately it looks like it will be a couple days of rain this week, so the fun will have to be postponed until next week.

Up-to-date

Well, it's been a week since our last entry. Luckily Evie was quickly recovered from her fever. The next day she was running around again as if nothing ever happened! Gotta love kids.

Saturday we went to an open house of artist friends of ours. Evie especially liked the music, as you can see in the following picture.

Evie's friend Linde (six weeks older) was also at the event.  

Last week we also made a trip to the dentist.

When it was her turn, Evie climbed excitedly into the dentist chair. Of course, when the chair started moving she freaked out. In the end, the dentist didn't get to check out her teeth, so it doesn't count as her first trip to the dentist. This summer we'll have her visit the children's dentist.

The next two shots were taking waiting for the train on mother's day. As you can see, there is no hipper toddler than Evie!!!

Sick Day

Little Evie was a little sick today. At it's worst, her fever was up to 103.9!! But she braved it all very well. Most of her time was spent lying on the couch watching tv.

First Pee on the Potty

Today we celebrated Evie's first pee on the potty. This only the second time she has "done some business" on the potty. We have decided to start a sticker page for when she succeeds on the potty. Evie's favorite potty-time activities include singing, reading books, and blowing bubbles.

Welcoming May

Last week we reported the weather was very springlike, well in one week's time the weather has turned to summer-like! Evie even got to go to the beach!
