Springtime Weekend

Well, it seems it is finally turning into Spring here in Holland.  This weekend we enjoyed it thoroughly, going for bike rides, walks, and meeting with friends and family

Saturday we went to the playground.

Max, Rob, and Whitney joined us for some fun.

After the playground, they joined us for dinner.

Sunday we went to Oma and Opa in Zoetermeer.  Evie loved being able to play in the garden as well as in front of the house.  And of course, she loves tickling Opa!

Goodbye Grandma

This morning Grandma Nan headed back to the states. We had a lovely time with her and will miss her. Hopefully she'll come visit again soon! The following is another one of those fun movies about the week we shared.

Keukenhof

Today we went to the Keukenhof. Grandma dubbed it "Tulipville." It is basically a huge garden filled with millions of flowers in bloom.  Tom claims he saw more people than flowers. Jacques, Ulrike, and Finn joined us for the day

On our way back to the Hague, we stopped and had coffee in Leiden.

Evie's going shopping with the basket on her arm, pushing the buggy... looks quite a bit like Liz when she does the groceries.

Chocolate Cake

When you get to help Mama bake a cake, of course the best part is licking the bowl!! Evie got to learn that today for the first time. Looks like she enjoyed it thoroughly.

Grandma in Gouda

Today we went to the little city of Gouda, about twenty-five minutes away from The Hague. We visited a museum in the center about Gouda cheese, pipes, and candles.

Fun with Papa

When Mama goes to work in the weekend, Papa does lots of fun things with Evie, like going to the petting zoo and the playground.

Tomorrow Grandma Nan is arriving from America.  She will be staying for a week.  As can be expected, we are wicked excited to see her again!
