Baby Shower

Sunday the ladies held a baby shower for Liz and Ulrike. With Ulrike being due April 3, and Liz May 5th, they decided to do a combined shower. It was a great afternoon! One of the games we played was the melting of food in diapers and guessing "what the baby had eaten." Very funny. Playground video

Papa went with Evie to the playground yesterday. She was impressive with her climbing skills. She was also pretty funny by insisting that she go down in-between the two slides. When it came time for the swings, Evie got her first lesson in how to pump. She actually started doing it a little bit!

Carnival at the Creche

This week the creche celebrated Carnival. Carnival is a predominately catholic celebration in the time before lent. Here in the Netherlands it is heavily celebrated in the south of the country, and not at all up here in The Hague. The creche, however, sees an opportunity to have some fun and thus participates. One of the aspects of carnival is dressing up. This week we were told the children could come to school in costume. So Liz went out and bought Evie a pretty princess dress. HOWEVER, little miss Evie had her own idea of what type of costume she wanted. It had to be Spiderman. So after calling all the toy stores in the hague area we tracked down a spiderman costume to make her wish come true.

Thursday night we called Uncle Thijs on the phone and captured this picture of Evie blabbing away. She looks so grown up!!!

Evie went to the creche Friday with her Spiderman outfit on but took it off soon after. So much for **needing** a spiderman outfit. Here she is with some of her classmates. By the end of the day she had some lion facepaint. Sorry about all the crazy eyes... there's something wrong with the camera I think.

Six Months Preggers

Here is the latest belly shot at exactly 6 months. Only 3 months to go and baby brother will be here!
The last few weeks we have started putting the baby room (read, corner of our bedroom) together. It's getting time to start getting everything ready!
