Big Boy Bed

Felix has been climbing in and out of his crib and has already had one fall, so we decided it was time to move him to a big boy bed. His first day he seems to love it and feel very cool. He especially likes the "toot-toots" on his comforter.

Another Saturday

Today was another great Saturday.
The kids zone out for a little bit in the morning while Papa gets breakfast ready.

St. Patrick's Day

This evening we had some St. Patrick's Day cupcakes after dinner. Mmmm!!!! This then makes the kids extra cute and cuddly!

Vera comes for Lunch

Today Vera came by one last time before leaving for her trip. We had lunch and played together. Felix was sure to give lots of extra kisses!

Pex Woods, Dunes, Beach

On a nice Sunday at the cusp of Papa took the kids to Pex Woods, a nearby woody park. They loved exploring and walking right through the woods.


The park also has a playground, of course. Felix climbed the tall slide all by himself while Papa watched nervously.

After the woods the kids went to the dunes to see the ocean and eat a snack.



If you are so close to the sea anyway, might as well go for a walk on the beach.

Good-bye, Vera!

Today was the last day at the creche for Felix's favorite teacher, Vera. She is heading off in a few weeks for a half year of traveling in North and South America. Unfortunately, she will not be returning to the creche when she comes back, ...but lucky for us, Vera happens to live in the neighborhood, so we'll still be able to see her around! For her last day we made a cake and Evie drew a picture.

Carnival at the Creche

This week the kids at the creche got to dress up for carnival. Felix wore is super-cute dinosaur costume from Halloween. Everybody thought he was the most adorable... we have to agree.

Felix loves it when Vera plays the guitar. When he sees pictures or drawing of a guitar he says, "vera, vera!"

Right to Vote

Today Liz got to express her right to vote in The Netherlands for the first time. After dinner we went as a family to the nearby voting location and voted in the provincial elections.
