Vacation!

We were lucky enough to have Grandma Nan and Grandpa David visit us this past week.  And what a week it was!!!  Our itinerary was packed with fun and cultural activities.  We went to Muiderslot, celebrated Queen's day, vacationed in Disneyland, visited Brussels, and had a birthday party for Felix.  I put together this scrapbook for Grandma and Grandpa.

Now that Evie is getting better at reading, she is also enjoying reading books to her brother.  His favorite one to hear is called, "Me too, Woody!"  Could they be any cuter together??!

Disco Party

Jolanda and Brigitte celebrated their birthdays together with an amazing 70s party!  Everybody got dressed up in the proper style and partied till the wee hours of the night.  It was such a cool party!

Visit from Jennifer

Today we had a visit from Jennifer Mouchantat.  Liz used to be her daughter's nanny in Denver.  We walked around the city center and visited one of our favorite museums, the Mauritshuis.  While we didn't actually get any pictures of Jen, she took some nice pictures of our family.  For dinner we made boerenkool and cupcakes for dessert!

Ollie Bob's Birthday

Before heading back home, Ollie Bob celebrated his first birthday with his Dutch family.  There was cake and a dance party!  We will miss them and hope they come back to visit soon!

Visitors from Florida

Uncle Thijs and Aunty Christyl are here visiting with Oliver Bob!  The kids were so excited to meet their nephew for the first time.  He's already so big, yet he doesn't turn one until later this month!

Haircuts

Today the hairdresser came to the creche, so of course the kids both when for a cut.  Evie wanted a more dramastic change, and she got it - bangs!  As to be expected, it looks adorable.  Felix went for a more polished up version of his regular 'do.

Denver

Liz is back from ten days in Denver.  It was a fun visit filled with lots of cuddles and a bit of shopping.  Unfortunately, Tom and the kids were not able to come, but we saw each other every day with facetime.  It was so great being able to see Addy & Ella as well as Mandy, Viki, Kanoa, and Amaya!

Welcome Eleanor!

Today our newest niece was born in Denver.  Welcome baby Eleanor!  Thanks to modern technology, we were able to facetime with Aunty Panda and see the little one within hours of her birth!  Such a cutie!  Liz will be going out to visit them in two weeks time and is so excited!  Congratulations, Mandy and Roxanne, and big sister Addy!

 

Bunk beds!

As of today the kids are sharing a bunk bed.  They have their own little bookshelf area next to the bed to keep their trinkets and whatnot.  We are all very happy with it! :-)

Memphis Maniacs

After seeing the Memphis Maniacs at Park Pop last year, we knew we wanted to see them again. Last night our wish came true. They played a sold out crowd at the Paard and were amazing!!! Their mash-ups are so fun and dance-worthy. We had such a good time!
