Public Art in The Hague

Today we made a trip to the city center for some new kicks and threads for Tom. Being a guy, he was done shopping pretty quickly. After grabbing a quick and unsatisfying bite to eat we headed to the Buitenhof where there is a fabulous photography exhibit. It was nature themed, and every photo was beautiful. After that we went to the Lange Voorhout to see the annual sculpture exhibit.
This is the first picture we had Evie pose for.

She then proceeded to stand in front of every photograph and say, "take another picture of me with the _______"

We now have almost the whole collection on our camera.

Sometimes we have Evie pose for pictures, and sometimes those moments just happen on their own. Here is a beautiful image of our little tree hugger.

"Take one of me with the deer."

In preparation for a concert on the pond next weekend there is a huge platform that we were able to walk on. Behind Felix is the office of the Prime Minister.

Evie was a little scared on Papa's shoulders, but of course managed a smile for the camera.

This tent was apparently left over from the Pink Saturday celebrations yesterday. Evie used it to put on a little show for us.

The featured artists this year are Manolo Valdés and Kim De Ruysscher.

Evie with the ladies.

"It looks like a giant" with a really big hat!

Isn't that the area in front of the WWII museum exhibit? I wish all that art were there then.

Thanks for keeping us updated!

Auntie Kay-Kay will be a day or two late in her evaluations, as she's camping this weekend.
