Zomerfeest

Yesterday there was a summer party at the creche. This year the theme was the World Cup. The kids could come dressed in Orange (for Holland) or any other country they wanted. We decided to let them come as Americans. We got really lucky with the weather - it was gorgeous! It was the first really summery day this season.
The first thing Evie wanted to do was get her face painted as a princess. Surprise, surprise.

Felix got some Dutch flags on his face.

One of the activities there was to have the children make their own cocktails.

Evie put the ice, syrup, and water in the cocktail shaker.

Shake it up, baby!

The glass even got a sugary rim.

Drink in the glass and....

Voila!

Our adorable little American kiddos!

Another activity had Evie catching little paper butterflies that were blown into the air.

Hahaha!!! I can't believe one of the games is learning to mix your own cocktail, shaker and all!! That's awesome! Wouldn't find that in Utah... I miss you guys!
