Kitchen Progress

Today was the first day of real construction on the kitchen. Up until now it's just been demolition. Today we had a plumber come in to put the gas and water pipes in their proper places. The new kitchen doesn't have any room behind it for pipes, so they need to come out of the ground or out of the wall at right place. We chose the second option. First we were planning on having Tom do it himself, but we decided it might be wiser to let it over to the professionals. They did a quick and neat job and we don't have any worries about it leaking!


After they left, Tom started construction on the wall - which you'll see in a later post.
